Annapurna Trekking - 12 Days


This is one of the most popular trek in Nepal. We drive to Dumre and then to Beshisahar ( 2700 ft, 823m), the trek begins from here, along the banks of  Marsyangdi River and southern slopes of the Manaslu Mountain then gradually up through the sub tropical forest and rice fields. Mainly inhabited by the Gurungs , Magars and Chhetris.

As we turn westward into the Manang valley (11480 ft, 3499m) and into the rain shadow of the Annapurna Ranges dramatic changes occur, fields of millet and wheat flocks of sheep and goats dot the landscape . The inhabitants of this region are the Manangi's who are originally Tibetan and Buddhist by religion, their religion, architecture, life style is completely different than those of the southern slopes.

Later we cross the Thorung-la pass (17700 ft, 5415m) which is the highest point in this trek and slowly down to Kaligandaki Valley, Kaligandaki is the deepest gorge in the world. While descending towards Pokhara you can view the magnificent Dhaulagiri 26952 ft, 8167m, Annapurna  8091m, Tilicho, Nilgiri. In general every day the walking about 5 to 6 hrs and on Thorung  pass day it will be 7 to 8 hrs.

Tour Itinerary


Day 01 : KATHMANDU OF A Beshi SAHAR (850 meters).

Bulbule then trek to NGATTI TREK (1150 meters). Transfer by bus Beshi Sahar: KTM - Dumre - Beshi Sahar - about 6/7 hours away and trek about 30 minutes to 1hrs.


Day 02 : A TREK TO NGATTI JAGAT (1314 meters).

Mounted in the terraced fields to Bahun Danda Cornfields replace rice. Down in about 30 minutes, crossing a small river and continue until Syange Bazar After 2 hours walk, the trail crosses the "Marsyangdi" and goes up to Jagat. Trek about 5 hours 30 minutes of walking.


Day 03 : JAGAT / TAL (1707 meters).

Tal climb up waterfalls, hanging bridges etc. ... About 5 hours of walking.


Day 04 : TAL / CHAME (2713 meters).

Passing the village of Dharapini 2000 m Gurung village and mananghi Buddhist, then gentle climb up Khodo finally walk through the forest to Chame village of Tibetan culture. Small Buddhist monastery. Hot water source. About 7 hours walking.


Day 05 : CHAME / PISANG (3185 meters).

Crossing a beautiful forest, orchards, and continue on the left bank of the Marsyangdi Walls prayers. Mananghi Pisang is a village divided into two parts. The upper village is typical of the valley with its houses with roof terraces Very nice view of the Annapurnas, the Pisang Peak, Chulu the. About 6 hours walking.


Day 06 : PISANG / MANANG (3351 meters).

Climb winding up a narrow spur on the flanks of the Annapurna II, flat walk to Hondge, then continue to Manang. View of the Annapurna II, III and IV, Manaslu, Pisang Peak. About 6 hours walking.


Day 07 : REST MANANG (3351 meters).

Rest or explore the monasteries of the village of Braga, can also walk on the yak pastures towards Chulu.


Day 08 : MANANG / THORANG Phedi (4400 meters).

Slow climb to the foot of the Thorong Pass Around 6:30 walk.


Day 09 : Thorong Phedi / MUKTINAH (3802 meters).

Starting early in the morning to cross the Thorong Pass at 5415 meters. View of the Thorong Peak, Pisang, Manang and Nilgiri. Descent to Muktinath long and difficult. Muktinath is for Hindus holiest site in Nepal. All temples and Hindu shrine. About 8 to 12 hours of walking, depending on the conditions.


Day 10 : MUKTINAH / Jomoson (2713 meters).

Down to Kagbeni, a village on the road from Mustang, beautiful fortified village of Tibetan culture and architecture. Walking along the Kali Gondaki Jomoson until about 5 hours walking.


Day 11 : Jomoson / Pokhara.

By vehicle or flight


Day 12 : Pokhara to KATHMANDU (1300m).

By bus, Overnight at hotel
