Day 01: Kathmandu - Paro

Arrival in Thimphou by Druk Air flight , the national air carrier, after a flight in which you can admire the majestic landscape of the Himalayan range. After visa procedure, you will be welcome and transfer to the hotel .

Day 02: Paro

Visit of Paro, one of the 20 districts of Bhutan, starting with the visit to Drugyel Dzong monastery (dzong) where attract many visitors. Drugyel Dzong, located about 30 kms west of Thimphu, defended the Paro Valley against the invasion of Tibetans from the north to the 17th century. On a clear day can see Mt Jomo'lhari 7314m, which dominates the Sino-Bhutanese border. The route continues through a beautiful valley in the direction of the Ta-Dzong. It became a national museum in 1960 by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Throughout its seven floors, it presents various aspects of the Bhutanese culture and history of the 7th century. Day 03: Paro - Thimphou

Departure by car to Thimphou, located 1h30 from Paro. Transfer to the hotel and afternoon visit of the picturesque sites of East Thimphu, starting with the stupa (chörten) built in memory of King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Continuation of the visit with the Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest monastery of Thimphou, established in the 12th century, and Drupthob, the new convent. Continuation of the tour to visit of Motithang zoo to see takin, animal symbol of Bhutan, then panoramic view overlooking the beautiful valley of Thimphu. Overnight at the Hotel

Day 04: Thimphou - Wangdue Phodrang

In the morning, visit the National Library, which offers a rare collection of xylographic Buddhist writings, then continue walk to Sunday market, stop along the way, in the shops of craftsmen who make the thangkas, painting , and visit of the royal gold smith's where silver is still ancient techniques used.

In the afternoon, departure for the district (dzongkhag) of Wangdue Phodrang, 3 hours drive from Thimphou, at an altitude of 3100m, passing by Dochula to admire Druk Wangyel, consisting of 108 stupas and d 'a temple. Day 05: Wangdue Phodrang - Gangtey Valley

Visit the monastery located at 2800m in the Gangtey Valley, one of the most beautiful in Bhutan. The only Bhutanese monastery follow the oldest Buddhist tradition, Nyingmapa Tibetan school. This magnificent valley is also well known for black-necked cranes Bird. Day 06: Punakha - Thimphou - Paro

In the morning, drive to Punakha, the capital of Bhutan till 1955, and visit the dzong, known as the Palace of the Great Blessing (Pungtang Dechen Photrang Dzong), which now houses the district administration (dzongkhag) . This remarkable monastery built between two rivers has survived multiple fires and floods. Every year in February there is a procession called Punakha Serda, commemorating the Bhutanese victory over the Tibetans. Then return to Thimphou and lunch. In the afternoon, departure to Paro for the visit of the oldest dzong of Bhutan, the Simzokha Dzong. Built in 1629 under the reign of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07: Departure to Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport.
