Tour Itinerary

1

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu-Suketar (2400 m), trek to Lali Kharka (2250 m).

Early morning flight to Suketar (Taplejung), direct or via Biratnagar. Meeting with the local team. Passing a small pass (2590 m) before descending on Lali Kharka.

Day 3: Lali kharka-Sinchebung (2160 m).

Transfer to the Limbu village of Thembewa. Descent to a bridge over the Pha Khola (1430 m). Climb steadily on Khunjari and then after a small pass, a flat land leads to Sinchebung.

Day 4: Sinchebung-Mamankhe (1810 m).

First views of the Kangchenjunga. Sentier balcony descending and climb to Phun Phun. Path in roller coaster to Phonpe. Suspension bridge (1550 m) before the final climb to Mamankhe.

Day 5: Mamankhe-Yamphudin (1710 m).

Easy walking day. Very beautiful villages and unique views of Jannu, Kyabru and Kangchenjunga. Limbus, Sherpas, Rais and Gurungs live in these villages.

Day 6: Yamphudin-Omje Khola (2340 m).

Climb up the alpine pastures and then in the woods to the small pass of Dubi Bhanjyang (2540 m), before descending to the edge of the Omje Khola through a very humid forest. Camp next to the river.

Day 7: Omje Khola-Torotan (3000 m).

Long climb in the forest, at the Lamite Bhanjyang pass (3350 m), with some beautiful views towards the Sikkim border. Then through a spectacular forest of rhododendrons. Steep descent into the Simbua Khola valley, from the southern glacier of the Kangchenjunga massif. Camp by the Torrent in Torotan

Day 8: Torotan-Tseram (3900 m).

Easy path, partly in forest, going up the Simbua Khola facing the chain of Kabru. It will, however, be necessary to ascend slowly; The altitude will begin to be felt. Camp at Tseram, at the upper edge of the forest.

Day 9: Tseram-Oktang (4700 m) -Tseram (3900 m).

Gradual climb to Oktang. After Yalung and Lapsang, the trail follows a large flat delimited by the lateral moraine of the Yalung Glacier. In Ramche, it remains 1h30 to reach Oktang, end of the trail in direction of the south face of the Kangch. Return in the afternoon to Ramche then to Tseram.

Day 10: Tseram-Mirgin La (4620 m) -Sinion The (4600 m) -Seleley (4150 m).

A steep climb to the Sinelapche pass (4640 m) and crossing on the Mirgin La. Another crossing leads to the Sinion La (beautiful views of the Jannu) and meals between these two passes. Long easy descent on the Seleley Alp.

Day 11: Seleley-Belvedere of the Jannu-Ghunsa (3470 m).

Climb up a grassy ridge above the camp. Exceptional views of the Jannu River. Descending sometimes delicate through alpine pastures, we find the path to the small pass of Seleley (4180 m). Crossing the Tamo La (3950 m) before plunging on Ghunsa following a path embedded in the rhododendrons.

Day 12: Ghunsa-Khambachen (4100 m).

Easy trail along Ghunsa Khola up to about 3900 m altitude. A steep climb, at the frontal moraine of the Jannu glacier, leads to a steep crossing in a large corridor. Then walk along the balcony to the camp in the Tibetan hamlet of Khambachen. Unique view of the Jannu and its north face.

Day 13: Khambachen-Lonak (4760 m).

Good trail, easy, climbing gradually (apart from a few areas of large blocks). High mountain printing with feet in the grass! Camp on the sandy area of Lonak, an old dried lake bottom. Great cold guaranteed for the night!

Day 14: Lonak-Pang Pema (5120 m) - Lonak (4760 m).

Easy trail that follows the alpine pastures on the right bank of the enormous Kangchenjunga glacier. You have to reach Pang Pema to see the view of the imposing mass of the third summit of the earth (8596 m). Return by the same road to Lonak camp.

Day 15: Lonak-Ghunsa (3470 m).

Return by the same path to Ghunsa.

Day 16: Ghunsa-Amjilassa (2550 m).

The next two days, the trail will follow the shores of Ghunsa Khola. Deep throat, with a special atmosphere. Downstream from Ghunsa, crossing Phere (two beautiful gompas), Kyapra and Gelpa. In the afternoon, following a series of climbs and descents, a steep climb gives access to an aerial balcony trail, which then descends to the Amjilassa camp.

Day 17: Amjilassa-Tapethok-Chirwa (1450 m).

Descent steep to the Ghunsa Khola that the way, at very narrow moment, follows on the left bank. Several river crossings. Steep climb (bridge and stairs) to Sakathum. Stop at Tapethok check-in. Another 45 minutes to reach the Chirwa camp.

Day 18: Chirwa-Jogidanda (1600 m) -Taplejung (2400 m).

Progressive climb through several villages located in the middle of terraced cultivation, after several bridges, gradually climbing up to Jogidanda. Another climb up to Siddhidanda (2200 m), visit the monastery on the way, then arrive at Taplejung and camp near the Suketar altiport.

Day 19: Suketar-Kathmandu.

Morning flight to Kathmandu (subject to the vagaries of the weather). The flight is either direct or via Biratnagar, in southeast Nepal. Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

20

Day 20: Kathmandu.

Free day ; Possibility of various visits, shopping ... (safety day in case of mishaps during the trek or during the return flight).

21

Day 21: Kathmandu and return flight.

Free day. At the end of the day transfer to the airport and check in on the return flight.
