The Classic Manaslu Circuit trekking is known for its isolated and most challenging trek, and is the eighth tallest mountain in the world at an altitude of 8163m from the sea level crossing Larkya La pass. The journey passes through one of the splendid mountain panorama, culturally fascinating vicinity of ancient Buddhist monasteries and undeniably challenging passes. This high altitude valley is one of those “Clandestine Lands” of pristine Himalayan ranges and definitely appeals to anybody who is looking for an audacious trek.

Day 01: Transfer to Arughat Bazar (500m),

Departure Kathmandu very early morning by bus to Arughat Bazar, a village nestled at the bottom of the Gorges of Bhuri Gandaki. Transfer: 6-8h

Day 02: Arughat Bazaar (500m), Sotti Khola (710m).

Meeting with our porters and beginning of the trekking. Beautiful landscapes of rice paddies and traditional Nepalese villages. Installation in Lodge towards Sotti Khola.

Day 03: Sotti Khola (710m) - Khorlabesi (970m).

First day of trekking, often hot, which takes place at the bottom of the valley. Progression through beautiful villages, alive, between subtropical forests, bamboo and terraced cultivation. Crossing the Maccha Khola river in a rocky atmosphere to finally reach Khorlabesi.

Day 04: Khorlabesi (970m) - Jagat (1370 m).

Climb along the Bhuri Gandaki. After an hour's walk, arrive at Tatopani where a suspension bridge allows to change the bank. Passing to Dobhan and following a pretty plateau to Shiauli Bhoti. Steep climb to Yaruphant. Crossing the Yaru Khola then crossing the right bank of the Bhiri. The path then joins Jagat (the wall), a real point of entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area. Beautiful paved path and first chorten.

Day 05: Jagat (1370m) - Pewa (1750m)

Ascent right bank through the villages of Saleri and Sirdibas to the bridge under Philim. The path then becomes a balcony path to Ekle Bathi (1620 m); Beautiful view of the village of Pansing. For an hour, the trail is then carved into the cliff above an impressive gorge. In the village of Pewa (1750 m), the valley opens to offer a beautiful panorama on the massif of Ganesh Himal. Tropical vegetation gives way to alpine vegetation.

Day 06: Pewa-Namrung (2550m).

The first cross prayer wheels in Deng indicate our entry into the Tibetan world. Passage left bank and climb to Rana (2000 m) then Bihi, beautiful village with long wall to mani. Near Suksam, one can admire magnificent giant spruces and sometimes even a few macaques or blue sheep on the wild slopes of the other side of the river. Steep climb over Namrung, typical village. After the installation in lodge, stroll through the narrow alleys of this small village and visit the small monastery.

Day 07: Namrung - Shyala (3370m).

Continuation of the trail through a crossing of the beautiful plain of Bengsam. We then discover the first views on the Manaslu. Continuation by the typical villages of Lhi and Lho Gaon built in Tibetan style. After Lho, the path swings to gorges and a steep path that leads us to Shya Gaon. After a day full of natural contrasts, settle in a lodge near the Pungyen Circus, at the foot of the Manaslu and Himal Chuli.

Day 08: Shyala - Sama Gompa (3420m).

In about 2 hours it is possible to climb directly to Sama Gompa, another alternative is possible with an excursion to the foot of the Pungyen Glacier and the bottom of the circus of Ramanan Kharka (4300m). In fine weather, it is an unforgettable day in a circus sparkling with whiteness and at the foot of gigantic peaks: Peak 29 or Manaslu. The trail descends directly from the base of the glacier to the beautiful village of Sama Gompa. Lodge near the monastery.

Day 09: Sama Gompa

For its interest, the village of Sama Gompa allows those who wish it to rest before passing the pass. For the others, it is possible to climb towards the base Lodge of Manaslu.

Day 10: Sama Gompa - Samdo (3800 m)

Small hook to the glacial lake of Birendra Khund. Continue to Kermo Manan (long wall mani) and then arrive at the village of Samdo (200 inhabitants). Tibet is very close and explains the frequent passage of yak caravans climbing to Lajing Banjyang. The villagers of Samdo continue to replenish themselves in Tibetan handicrafts, crafts that they go down to sell winter in Kathmandu.

Day 11: Samdo - Dharamsala

Balcony to the ruins of Dharamsala, Lodge of the base of the pass. In the afternoon, you can take a walk on the crests behind the Lodge.

Day 12: Dharamsala - Larkya The (4910 m) - Bimtang (3600 m)

Following the lateral moraine, the path leads to a glacial lake, sometimes difficult to guess under the snow. Continue on a large plateau offering beautiful views of the glaciers and the northern face of Manaslu. Arrival at the Larkya pass at 5000 m. Unique panorama of the Himlu Himal, the Kang Guru and, further, the Annapurna II. Descent on the west face of the pass, steep and often snowy. At the bottom, a huge glacier is home to some pretty turquoise lakes. The trail joins a long moraine that leads to the Bimtang pasture. Beautiful lodge, in the heart of glaciers and sharp summits.

Day 13: Bimtang - Darapani (1850m)

Descend to the river Dudh Khola. Walk on the stones of a tumbled glacier of the Cheo Himal with stunning views of Ngadi, Himalchuli and Punghi. Rhododendron drills. Beautiful view of the Kampung Himal Walk over the torrent of the Dudh Khola to Tilige, a large gurung village with carved woodworks located at 2300 m. Walk one hour on another slope of the Dudh Khola until Thonje where we join the Marsyangdi river. Ascent to Darapani, 1850 m on the trail of the Tour of Annapurnas. Here we find the large "lodges with showers" and well stocked shops.

Day 14: Darapani - Jagat

Here begins our descent into the gorges of the Marsyangdi. Passage to Tal large village at the foot of a waterfall. Stepped path in the gorges. Night in Jagat.

Day 15: Jagat - Besisahar

The trail is flat (one track) to Besi Sahar. View on the Manaslu. Climate very warm. Overnight in Besisahar.

Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu.

Transfer to hotel. Free tour
